I’ve always had a vivid imagination. My mother was a talented artist and artisan, and when I was a child I started drawing and captioning what I drew. Gradually the drawings grew less complex and what I wrote grew longer until I no longer drew. I wrote two books in my teens, one a schlocky romance novel, the second a comedy of errors about the perfume industry involving an amateur detective. 

Coming out as a lesbian was difficult for me – I grew up in a small town in Nova Scotia and didn’t even have the right words for who I was and what I was feeling. I stopped writing for a long time before coming to terms with my sexual orientation and finally meeting my wife. We celebrated our 50th anniversary in December 2022. 

I started writing short stories, which were published in several publications. 

Then the now-defunct Gynergy Books published my two collections of erotic short stories – Fascination and Other Bar Stories, and Without Wings. Both are out of print, as were the five books in the Harriet Hubbley Mystery Series – Ghost Motel, Deadly Reunion, Last Resort, Final Take, Sudden Death – which Brainspired Publishing will now be publishing again in addition to a new sixth book in the series, Dying Words.
